Bank Mandiri Launches Integrated Gold Investment Services on Livin’ by Mandiri

Bank Mandiri has launched integrated gold services through its Livin’ by Mandiri super app, enabling customers to save, buy, sell, finance, store, and withdraw physical gold through a single digital platform (09/10).

The launch coincides with the bank’s 28th anniversary and follows its receipt of a bullion license from Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK), making it the first conventional bank in Indonesia to receive the license.

According to the World Gold Council’s Gold Demand Trends Q2 2026 report, demand for gold bars and coins in Indonesia increased 40% year on year to 15 tonnes. The growth reflects increasing demand for convenient and flexible access to gold ownership.

The initiative also supports the government’s efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s bullion ecosystem, as outlined in OJK’s Roadmap for the Development and Strengthening of Indonesian Banking (RP2I).

Bank Mandiri Expands Digital Gold Investment Services

Through Livin’ by Mandiri, customers can access gold savings accounts, buy and sell gold, make installment payments, store gold, and withdraw physical gold. Transactions are available 24 hours a day without requiring customers to switch applications.

Saptari, Bank Mandiri’s Director of Consumer Banking, said the services aim to provide an accessible solution for protecting asset value and accumulating wealth.

“Gold has proven to remain a popular investment instrument amid global economic dynamics. Through the gold services on Livin’ by Mandiri, we are not merely providing a digital gold buying and selling marketplace. We are delivering an end-to-end financial solution that gives customers full control to plan, manage, and liquidate their gold according to the different stages of their lives, all from the palm of their hand,” Saptari said in an official statement on Friday, October 9.

The services allow customers to manage their gold investments digitally, from initial purchases to selling their holdings or withdrawing physical gold.

Gold Savings Start at Rp50,000

Through the Gold Savings feature, customers can open gold accounts for products from established brands, including ANTAM Logam Mulia and HRTA GOLD Emasku. The initial deposit starts at 0.02 grams, worth approximately Rp50,000, while subsequent purchases can start at 0.005 grams, or around Rp10,000.

Customers can buy and sell gold in real time and monitor price movements directly through the application.

Bank Mandiri has also introduced KSM Emas, or Kredit Serbaguna Mandiri Emas, a financing facility that allows customers to purchase gold through installments. The facility offers low interest rates and competitive installment payments, according to the bank.

The gold price is locked when customers submit their financing applications. Once the installments are fully paid, the gold is added to the customer’s Gold Savings balance and can be sold, used for further purchases, or withdrawn in physical form.

Customers Can Withdraw Physical Gold Through Gold ATMs

Bank Mandiri’s Ambil Emas feature allows customers to convert their digital gold savings into physical gold bars. Withdrawals can be made through Bank Mandiri Gold ATMs or at branch offices, with available options depending on the customer’s Gold Savings account type.

To collect gold through a Gold ATM, customers must open the Ambil Emas menu in Livin’ by Mandiri and select the ATM withdrawal option. They then scan the QR code on the machine, follow the on-screen instructions to choose a gold denomination, enter a verification code, and collect the gold bar and transaction receipt.

The feature allows customers to hold their gold digitally or obtain it in physical form.

As of August 2026, Livin’ by Mandiri had reached 42.1 million registered users, according to the bank.

Bank Mandiri Prepares Additional Gold Services

Bank Mandiri is preparing further developments for its bullion ecosystem as part of its transformation within the Danantara ecosystem.

Planned features include Multiguna Emas, which will allow customers to apply for cash loans secured by gold, and Autodebet Emas, which will support regular gold investments through automatic deductions.

The bank also plans to introduce a gold transfer feature between Livin’ by Mandiri users.

Saptari said the expansion represents a further development of the platform’s financial services.

“This bullion services transformation represents a tangible leap in innovation for Livin’ by Mandiri. We are not simply innovating to make transactions smoother; we are redefining how customers build and protect their long-term wealth, in line with the company’s commitment to Growing Together and Advancing Indonesia,” Saptari said.
